CHICAGO / Sep 09, 2024 / Business Wire / Exicure, Inc. (Nasdaq: XCUR, the “Company”) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with plaintiffs to settle Colwell v. Exicure, Inc. et al., Case No. 1:21-CV-06637, a previously disclosed securities class action lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (the “Court”). The settlement is subject to Court approval, and plaintiffs filed a motion for preliminary approval of the settlement with the Court on September 6, 2024.
The settlement does not constitute any admission by the Company of any liability or wrongdoing. Nonetheless, the Company believes it is beneficial to resolve the case as further litigation would be burdensome and protracted.
